Nobis reveals their most innovative and modular collection to date, offering complete protection and adaptability to ever-changing global climates.
Canadian outerwear brand Nobis announces its new FW’22 collection, with adaptability at the forefront of its design.
Inspired and crafted with the anticipation of the unexpected, the new Nobis collection captures the essence of transition with best-in-class garments built to perform throughout the seasons.
The collection is tactically designed with integrated technical systems to perform from mild to inclement weather, embracing the cycle from winter to spring and back into fall again.
This is the second collection heralded by Design Director, Michael Kerr, that positions Nobis around the modern day adventurer. The Nomad explores more minimalist, streamlined silhouettes, emphasizing performance, and the Navigator showcases the brand’s traditional-yet-innovative tailoring and classic silhouettes. Though distinct in their own aesthetics, both the Nomad and Navigator share an overlapping desire and love for adventure.
“With the 2022 collection, we wanted to create a mindful and holistic line encompassing everything from mid-layer shirts to traditional parkas,” says Robin Yates, Nobis Co-founder and Vice President. “We are thrilled to further our commitment to creating durable, high-quality outerwear that’s designed for both function and fashion to complement everyday pursuits that embrace the elements.”
The collection expands Nobis’ innovative and intricate prints with two new seasonal additions , a Desert print and a Structural print. The Nomad Desert print mimics movement by referencing natural forms, from shifting sands to blowing clouds, offered in 2 colors, tonal wheat and tonal black. Whereas the Navigator Structural print is inspired by modern architecture and a playful balance between negative and positive, available in wheat and navy colors.
Other major highlights from this collection include: the Ander mens mid layer shirt, Supra mens performance puffer, Alum mens icon Yatesy, Thale mens shawl collar sweater, Una ladies performance puffer, Haelyn ladies short utility parka, Ada ladies quilted full zip sweater, Circi ladies tailored parka, and Chroma unisex oversized puffer scarf. This collection was designed with the idea of ultimate versatility in mind with adaptive layering pieces, modular design and technical apparel systems that bring Nobis’ innovation to the forefront.
“The design inspiration for this collection came from fashion moving back to the outdoors,” said Michael Kerr, Nobis’ Senior Design Director. “It’s about ease of movement, breathability and the ability to step outside without living by the forecast. Each layer is intentionally designed and carefully considered to how it will contribute to the overall performance of not only the garment but the performance expectations of the consumer”.
Designed for the Nomads and Navigators, the collection meets the changing needs of global seasonality to ensure performance in even the most extreme weather conditions. This curated collection includes 3-Ply Micro Denier, 4-Way Durable Stretch Weave, Premium Stretch Ripstop, Signature Crosshatch, Premium Poly/Wool blend, Premium Technical Taffeta, and a Premium Lightweight Nobis DPTM Nylon with Poly/Wool Blend Contrast Panel. Nobis’ membrane laminations, seam-sealed construction, and durable water repellent finishes come together to create long-lasting, machine-washable pieces to transition with ease.
