Taiwan-based contemporary fashion label oqLiq debuted its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, RESONANCE, as part of the London Fashion Week September 2026 Digital Schedule.
Exploring the relationship between the body, material and environment, RESONANCE brings together SUPIMA® cotton, wool, natural-fibre blends and functional textiles with oqLiq’s signature approach to technical construction and innovative pattern cutting.
The collection was revealed through an atmospheric digital presentation that places the wearer within a surreal, elemental landscape of water, wind, mineral formations, clouds and monumental architectural forms-creating a visual dialogue between the body and its constantly changing surroundings.
DESIGNED IN RESPONSE TO THE ENVIRONMENT.
Nature is never static.
Wind shifts, water changes direction, light moves with time, and the body is constantly sensing changes in temperature, humidity and its surroundings.
The body listens. Material responds.
For Spring/Summer 2027, oqLiq presents RESONANCE, a collection that begins with the continuous exchange between nature, material and the body.
Function finds its purpose in everyday life, offering a quiet form of support with a sense of care.
It does not need to constantly make itself known. It simply reveals its function naturally, when it is needed.
Good function is like a piece of advice worth keeping. It does not need to repeat itself, yet somehow stays with the body.
It becomes the piece you instinctively reach for whenever you leave home.
The body remembers.
Like a song, a feeling can linger in the body long after the moment has passed.
For this season, oqLiq brings together SUPIMA® cotton, wool and other natural-fibre blends with functional textiles selected in response to different climates and the movement of the body.
Natural fibres and technology coexist within the garments, each responding to the needs of the body and its surroundings.
Lightness and protection, dryness and moisture, softness and structure coexist throughout the wearing experience. As the body moves through the city, materials respond to changing weather, continually seeking balance within change.
COLOR RECEDES. STRUCTURE REMAINS.
By reducing color to a singular tonal field, the collection shifts attention from surface to construction – tracing how lines travel across the body, shaping volume, movement and form.
Through precise pattern cutting, functional construction and considered material choices, clothing becomes an interface between the body and its environment.
It receives, transmits and transforms.
The body is always changing. So is the city.
Clothing adapts alongside the body, responding to change and offering invisible protection when it is needed.
