Guimet Museum Presentation | Paris
The Franco-Chinese jewelry house Serendipity Jewelry unveiled its enchanting ‘Jardin Du Rêve’ Collection at the Guimet Museum in Paris on July 8-9.

With 5,500 square meters worth of permanent exhibition space, one state-of-the-art auditorium, a restaurant, a research library and a 3-level roof-terrace with a stunning view on Paris, the Musée Guimet exhibits a unique collection of Asian art spanning 7000 years of history…more
The’Jardin Du Rêve’ collection draws from founder Christine Chen‘s memories: the peaceful stillness of her grandparents’ classical Chinese garden, and the shifting colors of Monet’s garden. These two impressions merge within the imagination, forming a garden that exists only in dreams.

The collection unfolds in three dreamlike chapters:
Trinité du Rêve – where time is suspended between heaven, earth, and the human spirit.
L’Écho du Rêve – where forms echo the flow of inner thought.
Reflet du Rêve – where reality softens into reflection.

Christine Chen at the Serendipity Jewelry Presentation, Guimet Museum, Paris.
Beyond these layered scenes lies the Secret du Jardin-a place where jewels bloom from nature’s forms, alive with emotion, flowing like a vision held deep within the heart. In the End, the Rêve returns to its origin.

As a state of mind where beauty and spirit bloom freely. With gemstones as language and poetry as voice, Serendipity reveals a garden that speaks gently to the senses and the soul.
Padparadscha Sapphire and Conch Pearl Necklace
Inspired by Monet‘s iconic Water Lilies series, this necklace brings together the philosophy of the East and the beauty of Impressionist art, creating a serene dreamscape upon water. At its center lies a 22.61-carat Padparadscha sapphire-certified as one of the rarest “lotus sapphires” ever discovered.

Main stone: Padparadscha Sapphire, 22.61carats. Side stones: 15 Natural Conch Pearls, 17.56 carats | 2963 Diamonds, 24.03 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold
Its sunrise tones recall a red lotus blooming in the early summer dawn-pure, radiant, and sacred. The design flows along winding floral branches, striking a balance between form and movement.

On either side, natural conch pearl buds bloom-each one shaped by nature. At the base, a Plique-à-jour enamel goldfish moves like a silhouette across morning water- awakening an Eastern dream hidden within Impressionist light.
Floating Trillion-Cut Emerald Parure
“From the Three arises all things.”
— Laozi, Tao Te Ching
In Chinese culture, the number three signifies strength, harmony, and the elevation of the spirit. This creation draws on Chinese philosophy-the unity of heaven, earth, and humanity. At its heart, emeralds appear to float above a foundation of rock crystal, symbolizing human consciousness suspended between the physical and the divine – perceiving the universe, while reflecting the soul within.

Main stones: Trillion-Cut Colombian Emeralds, 25.63 carats. Side stones: 40 Diamonds, 26.82 carats | 1198 Diamonds, 13.81 carats | 20 Crystals, 18.06 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold
The design features 22 Colombian emeralds, each precisely matched in tone and clarity. Trillion-cut emeralds are rarely attempted in high jewellery due to the stone’s fragility and loss during cutting-underscoring the rarity of this suite. More than high jewellery, it is a meditation in form-an embodiment of thought, and a reflection of the wearer’s inner state.
Turquoise and Diamond Parure
Inspired by the Eastern philosophical concept of “radiation”, this necklace captures the free expansion of form and flow of consciousness-like light breaking through the dawn, giving rise to all things. The entire suite features turquoise cabochons cut from a single stone, exceptionally rare rough stone sourced from the Sleeping Beauty mine. Their tone is a pure, serene blue.

Main stones: 26 Turquoises, 208.77 carats. Side stones: 16 Diamonds, 22.14 carats | 416 Accent Diamonds, 14.49 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
The structure adopts a “semi-flexible” design, balancing wearing comfort with architectural stability. Radiating outward, the composition incorporates the brand’s signature Gemstone Enamel. A dream in motion, it reflects the beauty of light and form, where Eastern inspiration meets French design.
Aquamarine and Diamond Parure
Inspired by Chinese philosophy’s embrace of illusion and reality, this creation explores the interplay between reflection and perception. “Mirror as Dream”-where reality extends into illusion, and illusion becomes the threshold of self.

Main stones: 20 Aquamarines, 48.26 carats. Side stones: 74 Aquamarines, 27.53 carats | 470 Diamonds, 13.09 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
Zhuangzi’s butterfly dream speaks to the fluid boundaries between waking and dreaming, truth and imagination. The specially cut aquamarines with a luminous clarity and satin-like flow against the skin. Its design balances mirror symmetry with shifting light, creating a tranquil rhythm-like ripples across a surface. More than high jewellery, it becomes a vessel for emotion and thought. Worn close, it invites the wearer into a state of lucid serenity-where what is seen mirrors the inner self.

Main stones: 4 Aquamarines, 16.64 carats. Side stones: 28 Aquamarines, 10.62 carats | 134 Diamonds, 5.08 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
Tanzanite Lace Iris Parure
This creation captures a fleeting glimmer from the heart of a garden, reflecting Serendipity’s mastery of color, material, and technique. Gemologist Christine selects soft lavender-tone tanzanite as center stones-distinct from the gem’s typical vivid blue-violet-echoing the gentle tones and painterly strokes of Monet’s irises.

Main stones: Pair of oval-shape Tanzanites, 9.33 carats. Side stones: 328 Diamonds, 2.08 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
Tanzanite Lace Iris Necklace (Middle)
Main stones: 13 Tanzanites, 90.55 carats. Side stones: 3144 Diamonds, 17.56 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
Tanzanite Lace Iris Ring (Right)
Main stone: Oval-shape Tanzanite, 12.73 carats. Side stones: 228 Diamonds, 1.49 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
Delicate honeycomb openwork and lace-inspired motifs lend the design a sense of lightness and rhythm, allowing the unique color of the tanzanite to shine through with full brilliance. From the Secret de Jardin collection, Serendipity offers a bloom of inspiration-quietly radiant, enduringly tender.
Titanium and Multi-Colored Sapphire Earring Collection
Inspired by Monet’s Garden in Giverny.

Main stones: Pair of Oval-Cut Diamonds, 4.02 carats. Side stones: 42 Rose-Cut Multi-Colored Sapphires, 14.99 carats. 136 Accent Colored Gemstones, 7.20 carats | 344 Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds, 7.01 carats. Set in titanium & 18-carat white gold.
To capture authentic vitality, Christine Chen brought fresh flowers into the studio, asking artisans to sketch them daily-from bud to full bloom-waiting until the blossoms came alive on paper before beginning the wax carving.

Main stones: Pair of Oval-Cut Diamonds, 4.02 carats. Side stones: Rose-Cut Multi-Colored Sapphires, 11.98 carats. 385 Accent Colored Sapphires, 7.47 carats | 112 Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds, 1.98 carats. Set in titanium & 18-carat white gold.
The earrings feature ultra-thin, double-sided old-mine cut sapphires set in titanium for a weightless fit, echoing the natural flow of petals. The lily-of-the-valley brooch uses plique-àjour enamel to depict translucent blooms, accented with moonstones that glow like morning dew-capturing a fleeting glimmer of nature. In the interplay of fine structure and filtered light, the softest energy of blooming is gently held in time.

The Rêve d’Iris parure-necklace, bracelet, and asymmetric earrings-features rare conch pearls with pink-orange tones and flame patterns, evoking irises in soft bloom. Petals in Pliqueà- jour enamel and pavé diamonds shimmer with quiet individuality.

The necklace and bracelet are crafted from over a thousand components, shaped and assembled by hand through more than 3,000 hours of artisanal dedication. The necklace is light on the skin yet sculptural in form. The earrings, airy and asymmetrical, move like petals caught in a breeze. More than adornment, this is a tribute to memory, nature, and the poetry of craft- where childhood dreams take lasting form.
Opal and Golden Necklace
The Chinese once said, “Spring blossoms, autumn bears fruit.” Autumn’s rich, saturated colors echo the season’s quiet depth-resonating with the golden landscapes of Monet’s Seine.

Main stone: Opal, 43.95 carats. Side stones: 65 Golden South Sea Pearls, 14 – 16.3 mm. Set in 18-carat White Gold.
At the center of this necklace is a rare 44.20-carat natural opal, its surface alive with flickers of flame. It is paired with South Sea golden pearls and finished with Serendipity’s signature Vein Flow Engraving-a craftsmanship that carves leaf-like textures across metal, softening its luster to a satin-like glow. When worn, it evokes the feeling of walking through an autumn garden bathed in golden light- where nature’s fullness meets the stillness of the season.
Cabochon Emerald with Vein-Flow Engraving Parure
Inspired by the Taoist philosophy of yin and yang, this creation takes its form from the ginkgo leaf-two halves joined as one-expressing the quiet balance of nature and the purity of Chinese culture.

Main stone: No Oil Colombian Emerald, 12.17 carats. Side stones: 10 Cabochon-Cut Colombian Emeralds, 19.08 carats. 320 Diamonds, 2.14 carats. Set in 18-carat yellow gold.
At its center is a rare 12.17-carat no-oil Colombian cabochon emerald, richly colored and beautifully translucent. The ginkgo motif features Serendipity’s signature Vein-Flow Engraving, which traces delicate leaf veins across the metal surface. Layers of Gemstone Enamel add a warm gradient of autumn gold, capturing the moment when green begins to turn.

Main stones: 3 Colombian Cabochon Emeralds, 2.71, 1.56 & 1.04 carats. Side stones: 929 Diamonds, 5.68 carats. Set in 18-carat yellow gold.
The earrings follow the Maison’s signature asymmetric design, echoing the beauty of natural irregularity. They balance organic movement with subtle structure, offering a refined interpretation of asymmetry rooted in classical Chinese jewellery traditions.
Black Opal Necklace with Gemstone Enamel
“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.”
— Oscar Wilde
At the heart of this necklace lies a 16.39-carat Australian black opal, radiating shifting tones of red, blue, green, and violet-like a galaxy in motion, glowing across a night sky.

Main stone: Australian Black Opal, 16.38 carats. Side stones: 1 Crystal, 26.63 carats | 808 Diamonds, 10.71 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
The structure is composed of over a thousand precision-crafted components, forming a silhouette that drapes like lace across the neckline. Despite its airy lightness, it holds the strength and stability expected of haute Joaillerie. Scattered across the piece are gemstone enamel “stars,” each able to rotate independently with movement-echoing the gentle rhythm of breathing, as if the cosmos itself stirs softly against the skin.
Black Opal Parure
“Graceful and otherworldly-like rising on wings into a dream.”
Inspired by a ukiyo-e peacock painting found in Monet’s home, this creation reimagines wings as a symbol of freedom in dreamlike form.

At its center is an 11.88-carat Australian black opal, its vivid play-of-color glows like the light on peacock feathers. The main body of the Black Opal Necklace is transformable-designed to be worn as a brooch or hairpiece, offering subtle elegance and versatility.

Main stone: Australian Black Opal, 11.88 carats. Side stones: 1205 Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds, 9.50 carats | 44 Sapphires, 0.45 carats. 28 Turquoises, 27.90 carats | 70 Tanzanites, 77.53 carats | 366 Lapis Lazuli, 537.39 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.

To capture the natural weightlessness of feathers, the Maison studied real plumage movement- balancing structure and airiness in a composition that seems to float yet holds its form with grace.

Black Opal Serpent Bracelet with Gemstone Enamel
This bracelet reflects a mood of mystery and stillness, centered around a top-grade Australian black opal-emerging like an eye from a dream, quietly catching the soul’s faintest light.

Main stone: Australian Black Opal, 16.88 carats. Side stones: Emerald, 0.37 carats. 263 Diamonds, total 20.61 carats. Set in 18-carat white gold.
A diamond-pavé serpent coils around the bracelet, its fluid form and seamless structure recalling brushstrokes on an Impressionist canvas. Hidden joints reflect the precision of high jewellery craftsmanship.

The serpent rests upon a tranquil surface of Gemstone Enamel, where shifting reflections and shadowed branches create a secret world. More than a jewel, this is a still Impressionist painting-where serpent and setting become one, expressing a quiet mystique and natural poetry in every curve.
Black Opal and Plique-à-Jour Enamel Necklace
This necklace was born from a moment of serendipity. A freeform black opal-long overlooked for its unconventional shape-suddenly revealed its path.

Main stones: Black Opal, 23.33 carats. Accent stones: 3 Opals, total 5.28 carats | 6 Emeralds, total 2.80 carats | 2 Yellow Sapphires, total 0.30 carats. 81 Diamonds, total 1.20 carats | 9 Green Chrysoprase Beads | 10 Purple Chalcedony Beads. Drop-shaped White Pearl, 21.43 carats | 77 Australian White Pearls (Venus Grade), 9-12 mm. Set in 18-carat white gold.
Christine reimagined it through the lens of both 19th-century French trembleuse technique and traditional Chinese court jewelry. The result is a piece that shimmers with every movement- like ripples across a summer pond. Water lilies in Plique-à-jour enamel unfold in soft gradients, echoing dawn light. The opal anchors the composition-mysterious, luminous, alive-surrounded by sapphires, emeralds, and diamonds. A strand of pearls and gemstones flows gently around the neck, where East meets West in quiet harmony.
