PARAISO kicked off on Wednesday, May 28th with a strong start, hosting standout events across Days 1, 2 and 3 that have set the tone for an exciting Miami Swim Week with an exclusive roster of prestigious runway shows, exclusive off-site events and never-before seen collaborations – plus a weekend-long shopping event at Ritz Carlton, South Beach.

PARAISO Miami Swim Week kicked off with the first ever SIHOF: Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame, a gala that honored industry trailblazers in swimwear that included Megan Thee Stallion, who shined on the blue carpet and stage as she accepted the Cultural Icon Award, recognized for her impact on music, fashion, and redefining beauty standards through body confidence and inclusivity.
The industry honors night set the tone for the week, celebrating the visionaries who have shaped the swimwear industry through design, media, photography, and cultural influence. The Honors Night took place at the iconic Bass Museum on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The event marked the launch of the Sun Safe and Confident initiative, in collaboration with Sofia Vergara‘s brand, Toty. This initiative aims to empower individuals to feel confident and protected in their swimwear, emphasizing the importance of sun safety and body positivity.
From Icons to Initiatives: PARAISO Opens with a Historic Night
The Honors Night recognized trailblazers across various facets of the swimwear world, including:
Cultural Icon: Megan Thee Stallion, for her impact across music and fashion and her ability to inspire a new generation to embrace bold, self-expression.
Media Icon: MJ Day, Editor-in-Chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, for her transformative influence on body positivity and representation in the industry.
New Media Icons: Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman, the influential forces behind the swimwear-focused digital community that has inspired millions.
Photographer Icon: Jamie Nelson, known for her vibrant, cinematic captures that have redefined swimwear imagery.
Sustainability Icon: Vitamin A founder Amahlia Stevens, a pioneer in eco-friendly swimwear, recognized for her commitment to sustainable fashion.
PARAISO Miami Swim Week Runway Shows
The runway shows are officially underway on the shores of Miami Beach, opening with a runway show by Vogue Mexico and Latin America, showcasing a curated lineup of standout brands.

Featured designers included SER x Andrea Agudelo, California Dream Collection, Castañer, Sinesia Karol, and Bee Surreal by Lola. From bold silhouettes to dreamy textures, each collection brought its own story, spotlighting Latin American design through vibrant, modern swimwear.

Recipients of Wednesday night’s SIHOF New Media Icon award, Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman presented MONDAY SWIM at the PARAISO tent built on Collins Park on Miami Beach. The show set the tone for the week, with neutral palettes, celebrating the ultimate resort lifestyle with the iconic MONDAY SWIM models hitting the catwalk in the brand’s latest collection that celebrates femininity at its finest.

Hot Girl Summer! The PARAISO tent really sizzled on the runway in an all-new way with the debut of Hot Girl Summer – created by 3-time Grammy award winning artist, Megan Thee Stallion who debuted her new line, herself! Thee Stallion walked the PARAISO Miami Swim Week runway in the brand’s vibrant, colorful and fun styles.
Under sun soaked umbrellas at PARAISO’s partner property, the Ritz Carlton, South Beach hosted multitude consumer facing events, open to the public.

The entire weekend through June 2nd will host a curated pop up of SS25 collections of America & Beyond, D29: Diciembre Veintinueve by Gabriela Berlingeri, Page Beach, Zemra Swim, and Palondre The Label, all are presenting poolside in a pop up that isn’t to be missed! Guests can sip cocktails, soak in the sights of the turquoise waters and shop pieces that will have them ready to take a swim, right then and there. Miami-based SIGAL is also popping up at Ritz Carlton, South Beach – all weekend long!

Friday night kicked off with the upcoming 2026 collections of Shan, Leslie Amon, Montce, and more! The Cruise 2026 collection by Shan brought a sophisticated array of resort fashion to the runway with ethereal cover ups, chic swim for both women – and men! While Leslie Amon channelled the designer’s inner French spirit with a collection made for the shores of both Miami and St. Tropez. The designers paved the way for the off-site shows of Montce at Casa Faena and Cupshe at 1111 Lincoln Road – a parking garage turned iconic architectural staple on Miami Beach.
