APLF Color Guide for Spring / Summer 2013 forecasts the direction of colors and materials in the coming season. 

The Material Trends Space at MM&T and Fashion Access 2012 showcased the latest materials of exhibitors.

The Material Trends Space (MTS) is an exhibit of leather, synthetics, textiles and other materials as well as components that illustrate the color and texture trends for the upcoming fashion seasons; and gives a sneak preview of what MM&T has in store for buyers.

TREND I: REVELATION

Colors

A range of paler tones with an unreal freshness. Diaphanous natural colors and immaculate neutrals, shot through with cosmetic vibrations…

Beautiful Materials and Fine Finishes

The lightness of skin / Small grains / Ultra-light suede calf / Box leather / Ostrich / Chamois / Small, artificial scales / Canvas / Geometrical pleats

TREND II: MUTATION

Colors

A range of textured colors, never really natural. A new range of greens to punctuate the new neutrals, beiges, browns, khaki and caramel.

TREND IV: TRANSGRESSION

A contrasting range of intense, peppy colors, classic tones and garish fluorescents.
