Iittala’s Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection Debuts Scented Candles and New Expressions of Glassware.
Iittala unveils the Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, introducing several key novelties: an expanded palette for the Solare glassware line and the brand’s first-ever scented candle collection.

The seasonal collection is presented at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, where visitors can experience the latest launches firsthand. Rooted in Iittala’s heritage and Finnish craftsmanship, the collection embraces the warm light and introspection of the Nordic Autumn.

A Dialogue with the Seasons
The Autumn/Winter 2025 offering draws inspiration from natural elements and traditional Finnish materials, celebrating tactility, elemental beauty, and emotional resonance. “For AW25, we looked to the rhythm of the season – how nature slows, deepens, and transforms,” says Janni Vepsäläinen, Iittala’s Creative Director at Iittala. “This collection explores how sensory design and refined craftsmanship create objects that bring comfort and depth to everyday rituals. It continues our dialogue with the Nordic landscape, from the materials we choose to the stories we tell through form and color.”
Form Meets Fragrance
For the first time, Iittala introduces a line of scented candles, inspired by the elemental forces of Fire, Sand, and Water-central to the brand’s glassmaking process.

The collection features three unique fragrances, ranging from the crisp coolness of lakeside breezes to the grounding notes of oakmoss, suede, and cedarwood. The candles are housed in reusable ceramic holders inspired by Alvar Aalto‘s sculptural design language, combine sensory function with enduring form.
A Seasonal Palette Rooted in Nature
At the heart of the collection is the Solare glassware, now available in a new seasonal palette inspired by the shifting light of the Nordic Autumn. These muted, natural hues evoke stillness, enhancing everyday moments of gathering and hosting.

Each piece is mouthblown at the Iittala Factory in Finland, where skilled artisans use traditional techniques to create forms that catch and refract light.

Ultima Thule: A Celebration of Local Materials
Iittala presents a special Finnish Sand Edition of Ultima Thule glassware. Traditionally made with Belgian sand, this limited version uses sand sourced from Karvia, Finland, resulting in a distinctive green tint that occurs naturally-without dyes or additives.

Each piece is mouthblown by Iittala’s artisans, continuing the legacy of designer Tapio Wirkkala. Inspired by melting ice, Ultima Thule features a textured surface created through an intricate mould carving process, showcasing the beauty of Finnish materials and expert craftsmanship.

The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection will be available globally in Iittala stores, online, and at selected retailers.
