On April 15th 2025, in honor of Earth Month, iconic heritage brand GUESS hosted a sustainability-focused panel discussion entitled “Conscious Consumerism: How Social Impact Narratives are Redefining Brand Loyalty” at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

The event aims to open up conversations about the current climate of the industry, and how brands can move forward with positive impact by examining the fashion industry through a lens of social and environmental justice.

The one hour panel discussion was moderated by sustainability activist and thought Leader, Aditi Mayer, who shared insights on how social impact stories and value driven initiatives are changing the way brands connect with conscious shoppers. Known for her work in ethical fashion, labor rights activism and environmental storytelling, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the discussion, offering a unique perspective on sustainability’s role in fashion and how GUESS plans to continue their efforts with these values at the forefront.

Aditi was accompanied by an impressive list of experts including Chloe Songer, CEO & Founder of SuperCircle, who spoke about how brands can incorporate consumers in their sustainability intitiatives along with Kimberly Selden, Founder of Black Girls Tennis Club & Social Impact Producer, who’s experience lies in the nonprofit sector and creating opportunities for deserving communities through brand partnerships. Samata Pattinson, CEO of Black Pearl, joined them to share her voice on social impact through culture and sustainability through fashion, music, and entertainment and Joe Laskin, Director of Development at North East Trees, rounded out the group as a leader in supporting the development and restoration of Los Angeles following the fires.
