Following its Summer debut in Ibiza, the second chapter of DESIGUAL VINTAGE travels back to 1984 through archival mandalas, asymmetric silhouettes and original graphic prints reimagined for FW26.
DESIGUAL unveiled the second chapter of DESIGUAL VINTAGE, an exclusive limited-edition collection that celebrates the timeless essence of the brand through a special selection of some of the most iconic pieces from its archives.
Recovered and reworked for today, each design brings the archive back into circulation and proves that what Desigual created decades ago still belongs entirely to the present.
FROM 1984 TO FW26: EVERY STOP, A PIECE OF DESIGUAL HISTORY
Life is like a road: the destination matters, but the stops are what make it worth it.
Desigual has been travelling since 1984. Along the way, looking back has become a way of understanding both who the brand is and where it wants to go next. For FW26, DESIGUAL VINTAGE travels back to the year where it all began, revisiting some of the milestones that have shaped its visual identity over more than four decades.
Every stop along this journey represents a piece rescued from the archive and reimagined for today: an emblem of Desigual’s history, ready to be worn again.
More than a celebration of the past, DESIGUAL VINTAGE is a reconnection with what has always been essential to the brand: community, love and absolute freedom, expressed in its most vibrant, distinctive and irresistibly Desigual form.
Firm in its essence and always on the move, Desigual continues along the road it first set out on in 1984.
MANDALAS, ASYMMETRY AND DESIGUAL ICONS
The mandala is one of the collection’s central motifs. It appears in concentric rings across second-skin jersey tops, finished with side drawstrings that gather and reshape the fabric. Typographic prints are also transformed into texture, reinforcing the graphic identity of the collection.
Necklines and sleeves play a defining role in the silhouettes. Deep V-necklines are finished with embroidered trims, while asymmetric, off-the-shoulder and one-shoulder constructions expose and frame the body in different ways. Sleeves range from long and fitted to wide kimono cuts, creating a contrast between close-fitting and fluid proportions.
Skirts and dresses introduce movement through pointed handkerchief hems, in lengths ranging from mini to midi. Dresses feature knotted details at the bust and flared skirts, revisiting recognisable Desigual shapes through a contemporary perspective.
The collection also includes two unisex pieces with relaxed proportions: a white long-sleeved T-shirt and a charcoal sweatshirt. Both recover the same original Desigual print from the archive, an angular collage of red, blue and black shapes across the chest, with illustrated figures running down both sleeves.
The colour palette combines black, olive green, deep red, navy and white with touches of ochre and pink. Washed and worn-in finishes run throughout the collection, giving the garments the character and visual texture of pieces that already carry their own history.
Closing the selection is an olive-green dress featuring an illustrated face and botanical print. Instantly recognisable as Desigual, the piece encapsulates the expressive, vibrant and unconventional spirit at the heart of the project.
Together, these elements bring the Desigual archive back into circulation one piece at a time, not as a literal reproduction of the past, but as a collection designed to be discovered, styled and worn again.
The road is open. Time to take it. Find your vintage.
