Ibiza Swim Week Returns for its 3rd Year in a Row as Europe’s Premier Swimwear Destination
The Mediterranean has long been synonymous with effortless glamour, sun-soaked luxury, and an enduring connection to resort fashion. This June, Ibiza Swim Week returned for its highly anticipated third edition, further solidifying its position as one of the most influential swimwear platforms in Europe and a growing force within the international fashion calendar.
Held from June 8-10 on the iconic White Isle, the event welcomed designers, buyers, industry leaders, and fashion enthusiasts from around the globe, creating a dynamic intersection of creativity, commerce, and culture. This year’s edition marked a significant milestone for the platform through its collaboration with the Ibiza Town Council and the participation of Miami Swim Week The Shows, the world’s largest swimwear fashion platform.
At the center of this year’s festivities was the spectacular runway presentation held at Hotel La Torre del Canónigo, nestled within Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic setting provided a breathtaking backdrop as designers unveiled collections that reflected the international diversity and creative innovation shaping contemporary swimwear.
Meanwhile, Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel continued its role as one of the event’s flagship destinations, hosting The Summer Edit, a curated series of pop-ups, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and industry discussions. The luxury property welcomed designers, suppliers, buyers, and consumers while facilitating conversations about the future of swimwear fashion and its expanding global influence.
The event’s international reach was evident in the diverse roster of participating brands. Collections from Cocora, Lucini London, Castaway Reef, Thatcher Attire, Princess, Maison Nura, Acquadicoco, Par Mirage, Sajara Lozano, Conny Beachwear, Bora Adore, May Rose, and Bikiswim showcased a broad spectrum of design perspectives from Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Africa.
Beyond the runway, Ibiza Swim Week continued to embrace the experiential nature of modern fashion. Masterclasses led by industry experts, including makeup artist Mary Dego and wellness specialist Brenda Hardt, provided attendees with insights into the evolving relationship between beauty, wellness, and resort fashion. An exclusive after-party organized in collaboration with Miami Swim Week The Shows further reinforced the growing partnership between the two platforms.
The week’s final day celebrated content creation and brand storytelling, with participating labels taking part in editorial shoots at Bonito Ibiza and aboard the historic White Island Classics. These activations highlighted one of Ibiza’s greatest strengths: its ability to serve as both a luxury destination and a visually captivating stage for fashion campaigns with global appeal.
The vision behind Ibiza Swim Week belongs to designer and entrepreneur Nía Vásquez, whose passion for fashion was cultivated from an early age through exposure to the world of luxury design. Drawing inspiration from renowned fashion creatives and building a career that spans business, marketing, luxury fashion, and digital influence, Vásquez has transformed a bold idea into an internationally recognized platform.
Having worked across both Madrid and Paris Fashion Weeks and collaborated with respected industry professionals, she recognized a unique opportunity to establish a dedicated swimwear destination in Europe… one capable of bridging fashion, tourism, and international business.
“From the first time I attended New York and Miami Swim Week, I knew I wanted to bring this format to Ibiza,” Vásquez explains. “There is no destination in Europe that better embodies the importance of swimwear fashion.”
What began as an ambitious concept has evolved into a thriving international platform that continues to attract global attention. The collaboration with Miami Swim Week The Shows and support from the Ibiza Town Council represent important milestones in Ibiza Swim Week’s evolution, positioning the event as a key player within the international swimwear landscape.
The celebration will continue beyond the island itself. On June 21, Ibiza Swim Week will conclude its third edition with an exclusive presentation in Paris at Eidiko Showroom, where selected brands will participate in a runway showcase and private sales event, extending the platform’s influence from the Mediterranean to one of fashion’s most prestigious capitals.
