Ottolinger Spring/Summer 2026 “Girlfriend”: A Celebration of Female Bonds at Paris Fashion Week

At Paris Fashion Week, Ottolinger once again redefined the narrative of contemporary fashion with its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Girlfriend, which was a deeply emotional tribute to the transformative power of female friendship.

The show, staged on October 5th, was less about clothing as mere adornment and more about fashion as a language of connection, intimacy, and empowerment.

A Tribute to Sisterhood and Strength

Girlfriend is an exploration of how women shape one another’s lives. From the way they support, challenge, and elevate each other through both tenderness and tension. Ottolinger translated this emotional landscape into wearable art: reimagined wedding dresses symbolized lifelong bonds, hand-dyed silks captured the fluidity of friendship, and neoprene detailing and overdyed gingham embodied resilience and shared strength.

The casting reflected this same spirit of authenticity and individuality, with a lineup that included Vivian Jenna Wilson and a diverse group of models who brought depth and nuance to the runway. Each look felt like a chapter in a larger story. We recognized connection, courage, and collective evolution in the pieces that came down the runway.

Collaboration as a Creative Force

At the heart of Girlfriend is the idea that fashion thrives on collaboration. Ottolinger partnered with Tinder to debut Re/Pair, a capsule featuring twin T-shirts and a two-piece necklace designed to connect two wearers. The collection’s symbolic design speaks to unity, shared experiences, and the beauty of relationships that shape who we are.

This collaborative energy extended beyond the runway. Reworked garments donated by creative duos will be auctioned to benefit Lambda, an organization championing LGBTQ+ rights and youth empowerment which is a cause supported by Tinder’s €10,000 donation. The initiative underscored the show’s central message: that fashion, like friendship, is most powerful when it builds bridges and uplifts communities.

Sustainability Meets Innovation

Ottolinger also reinforced its commitment to sustainability through the eBay Endless Runway initiative, which continues to push the boundaries of circular fashion. A teased collaboration with Mammut hinted at an exciting fusion of technical gear and high fashion, reimagined through a sustainable lens. It may be a preview of how functional design and ecological responsibility can coexist in future collections.
