Celebrity-loved, luxury accessory brand, Bandolier, has partnered with RTW brand Dauphinette for their Spring/Summer ’24 runway show.
Bandolier’s unmatched utility compliments Dauphinette’s antique aesthetic to create a one-of-a-kind collection, hand-designed by Dauphinette’s Founder, Olivia Cheng.
Dauphinette reimagines Bandolier’s best-selling crossbody phone case, including the Emma Pebble Leather Crossbody and Donna Side Slot Crossbody, to create a collection characterized by feminine romanticism and abstract materials. Bandolier continues to be a staple in the wardrobes of celebrities, including Blake Lively, Martha Stewart, Alessandra Ambrosio, Eva Longoria, Madonna, and more.
“The creative spirit of Olivia Cheng and her magically inspired label Dauphinette, embodies a kindred spirit of creativity that Bandolier readily celebrates.” Explains Bandolier CMO, Adam Derry. “New York Fashion Week is the perfect opportunity for us to see our brand reimagined by her and her team, leaving us with an unexpected and never-before-seen interpretation of our modern day accessories and phone cases. As we continue to explore our relationship with fashion and technology, we are honored to show our brand through the eyes of Dauphinette.”
“Aside from fixing my habit of leaving my phone everywhere, the team at Bandolier were what really drew me to this collaboration. In an industry made up of things, fashion is really held together by the people. From the first meeting, the Bandolier team was charismatic, open-minded, and collaborative- they really trusted us to use their products as blank canvases and transform them as we saw fit. I think trust is paramount when working collaboratively, and I’m incredibly excited to be sharing the Dauphinette-ification of Bandolier’s cases.” — Olivia Cheng, Founder of Dauphinette
Bandolier is the original luxury crossbody iPhone case and accessory brand from Los Angeles, California, made to fit your phone, designed to fit your life. Bandolier is the game-changing brand that epitomizes high tech and high fashion, redefining mixing utility with style and business with pleasure.
Dauphinette was founded in 2018 by Olivia Cheng, debuting with one-of-a-kind, Made-in-New-York outwear from recycled and byproduct fur and leather, vintage, and artisanal components. Cheng has since grown the brand to include handbags and accessories, plus a tightly conceptualized selection of ready-to-wear. The result is a dreamy collection of complex, optimistic, storied pieces — a feeling Cheng hopes to inspire in our wearers. Today, the brand is best known for its use of preserved botanicals and repurposed textiles, and can be discovered blooming everywhere from its West Village flagship to the Met Museum’s Costume Institute exhibition, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
In French, Dauphin refers to the king’s eldest son, i.e. heir to the throne. Coupled with the traditionally feminine suffix -ette, this symbol of the old feudalistic order takes on new agency.
