Usually I don't get incredibly excited about Lanvin's menswear, as I feel Alber Elbaz's genius doesn't really translate as well to menswear as well as it does womenswear. But this show was an exception, the cuts and clothes were very beautiful and the Lanvin-esque colours worked so well in this collection....read more

John Galliano

I always love John Galliano's menswear shows. It is a guaranteed SHOW, and usually the clothing is actually quite wearable, it is just the way it is worn on the catwalk that makes it look so ridiculously outlandish. No one does men's hair and makeup as well as John's team, he is the only one that seems to be go as all out on his menswear as he would his womenswear. Yves Saint Laurent

They say God is in the details, and in this show, it was all about the details. Come fall, the Yves Saint Laurent man is going to be wearing classic tailoring with strange little details: buttons placed too close together, strangely small shoulders, and contrasting tones of deep, masculine jewel tones.
