January 24, 2011 - If there was one thing that runway audiences could not escape at the recent Milan and Paris Menswear Shows for Autumn/Winter 2011/12 it was the ubiquitous display of fur.

Many designers agreed that fur, from shearling to mink, either as components of collars or providing the lining or full fabric to a garment, is to be prominent for the cold months next year.

Despite its controversial anti-environmental status, fur partly addresses the need for the fashion industry to inject an element of luxury into menswear that appeals to the profitable high end of consumer lines...read the full article
