On February 21st, the fashion elite turned up in their Sunday best to see more of what was to come for Autumn Winter 2010.
Louise Goldin's space military collection pursued the futuristic trend that is still in its early days this Winter. Her designs were sculptured beautifully, with padded detailing and bright red and blue shorts peeking out from the bottom of mini dresses. Her warrior women with armored dresses were fierce whilst black tights and tousled hair kept the look feminine.

The Meadham Kirchhoff collection was a gothic and mystical fairytale with a twist as good met evil.
The show started mysteriously with a black floor length lace veil, grey smoky prints and floating whispy sheer fabrics. But burnt orange florals turned to bold clashing pinks and the mood turned fun and romantic with sequined hearts, floral dresses, pink tiaras and rows of bright chunky bangles.
What began as a predictable dark forecast for Winter turned into a visual overload of color and a medley of elaborate bits and pieces undoubtedly discovered in the depths of a dressing-up box.
One of my favorite collections of the day was Julien Macdonald and his signature strong, sexy women, fresh faced and still oozing with glamour. Barely-there négligées with black lace detail inspired delicate dresses which were beautifully ethereal and definitely too exquisite just to sleep in.
In contrast there were big chunky cable knit jumpers, an over-sized navy blazer and a matching beige jodhpur pant suit. But it was the sophisticated glamour that made me fall in love with this collection from the plissé pleated miniskirts to the floor length floating sheer trains.
