Giorgio Armani said, It is a great honour to have the Guggenheim's exhibition of my work presented by the Shanghai Art Museum. China, its culture and spirit, have been a constant personal inspiration, which makes this opening even more meaningful.

On March 30, on his way to Shanghai, Giorgio Armani will stop in Hong Kong to present his Armani/Privé Spring/Summer 2006 haute couture collection in an exclusive fashion show for 1,500 invited guests, hosted by HSBC Private Bank in a specially created venue at the foot of its Norman Foster designed headquarters building in Hong Kong's Central District (next to the Armani/Chater House multi-brand store).

Giorgio Armani will then travel to Shanghai where, on April 1, the Shanghai Art Museum will celebrate the opening of the Solomon R. Guggenheim's Giorgio Armani Retrospective with a VIP cocktail party for 1,000 people followed by an exclusive fashion show at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.

Both the exhibition and fashion show have been made possible through the generous support of Mercedes-Benz. VOGUE China will then end the evening with a party at Three on the Bund's Art Gallery in honour of Giorgio Armani.
