PANTONE and The Dessy Group Renew Their Vows: New iPad Application for Styleboard Creation

June 2, 2011, [New York] - Wedding planning often happens on the go - at the reception venue, the florist, the bakery and the bridal salon.

Pantone LLC, an X-Rite company and the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, and The Dessy Group, a leading manufacturer of bridesmaid's dresses and bridal apparel, announced myPANTONE WEDDING Styleboard, the first styleboard application for the iPad.

myPANTONE WEDDING Styleboard appThe myPANTONE WEDDING Styleboard app gives users the freedom to build and share styleboards featuring key wedding colors, must-have wedding products and inspirational images - making it easy to achieve a perfectly color-coordinated wedding from inspiration to "I do."

"Transforming wedding inspiration into reality can be challenging and stressful," said Giovanni Marra, director of corporate marketing at Pantone. "We created the myPANTONE WEDDING Styleboard app to give brides-to-be a simple, intuitive way to communicate their vision of the perfect day - from color-coordinated dresses and accessories to perfectly matched flowers and invitations - with everyone involved in the planning process."

Users can choose from 200 PANTONE WEDDING Colors, select from thousands of preloaded images including all Dessy bridal apparel and accessories, and import their own inspirational images for styleboard creation. Pre-loaded images are filtered by color and represent a variety of categories including invitations, flowers, cakes, destinations, jewelry, people, food, venues, shoes and décor.

Taking advantage of the iPad's intuitive touch controls, styleboard images can be dragged and dropped, sized and rotated, as well as moved front to back and back to front.
