"Morphology is a science that analyzes form and structure of certain types of objects, through analysis of its components. I found my inspiration in the shape of the female body, in particular its muscles, and I created a delicate design, a mixture of plastic anatomy and hidden sensuality".

For the last two years, lingerie brand Triumph has held The Triumph Inspiration Award, which encourages and challenges fashion students worldwide to create innovative and fashion forward lingerie pieces.

The theme for 2010 was Shape Sensation and this portrayal through lingerie varied hugely from country to country. The top 20 finalists included Sofie Insam from France who created a "Shape Explosion" with exploding balloons attached to a pastel pink body representing the difference between the perfect shape of a circular balloon and the imperfection after it bursts.

Nikolay Bojilov from Bulgaria whose design concept is named "Morphology". The female shape and its muscular form inspired the black lattice body which he designed, a very wearable, luxury piece of lingerie.

Representing the United Kingdom is Isabella Newell, a student from Central Saint Martins. Her concept, "Circus Freaks" was inspired by Bauhaus costumes by Oskar Schlemmer and exaggerated and distorted structures. Her design incorporates sticks that move freely.

The panel of expert judges will announce the winner of the Triumph Inspiration Award on the 16th September 2010. The prize includes 15,000Euros and the opportunity to work alongside Triumph's design team in Hong Kong to turn their piece into a limited edition garment.

"I was inspired by Bauhaus costumes by Oskar Schlemmer, especially structures that exaggerate and distort. My structure of sticks moves independently from the wearer, a conversation of subtle movement, like a pair dancing. Other ideas came from Bruce Davidson’s photos of a circus dwarf, the colours in a Degas image and Egon Schieles soft and sexy drawings. My design exaggerates bottom and breasts."
