[New York], January 14, 2014 - For Spring 2014 PONO by Joan Goodman revealed its 10th anniversary collection; La Hanau.

A new-retro take on some of the made-in-Italy brand's best sellers and family favorites, the celebratory group was composed of 13 "especially opulent" items in the jewelry label's signature materials. The special line named for the Hawaiian word for Birthday (as PONO is Righteousness) is available at museums and specialty stores nationwide, as well as online at the brand's new ecommerce website.

The PONO collection is produced with integrity in Italy
PONO was launched in 2004 by sisters Joan Goodman and Barbara Barnett. In 2003, a number of years into operating their family button company, Bobbi Trim, the ladies watched as overseas manufacturing of American brand goods hit an all-time high, and the interest in European buttons an unprecedented low. The business (which still services today the likes of Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Derek Lam, Zac Posen, Thakoon, Vera Wang, Phillip Lim, Proenza Schuler, Nicole Miller, etc.) was at the time becoming less and less about the creative process, "and one day I just called up my incredible, genius vendor in Italy and said 'all I want to do is make beautiful horn bracelets'", explains PONO Creative Director, Joan Goodman. And so they did... and horn became robles and then resin which led to links. The label's signature Antonia Link came about in 2007; and has since remained a top producer; evolving each season through updated techniques and new hues.
