The predominant tones on the catwalks were 'Cobalt' ( info) and 'Klein' ( info) , but other variations were also present.
The color blue was used as a single hue not only in handbags and shoes, but was also on straps, trims or edges of purses.
It was also used as a contrasting device for dual-toned shoes (another interesting trend for shoe-makers).
Since we have only just started to see the comeback of color, it seems likely that blue will be a palate cleanser not only for designers, but for a lot of consumers too. |

March 25, 2011 - After several seasons of nudes and neutral tones, there seems to be a shift towards color in accessory design - and one of the most prominent color is 'blue'.
Handbags and shoes for the Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 collections featured numerous different shades of the color, mimicking the trend of Spring/Summer 2011 shows.
