[New York], Using the finest leathers; Empire33 accessories are hand made in a little workshop in Sydney.
Son of a painter/flute player and traditional Balkan costume maker Marjan Petrovski had what some would refer to as a colorful upbringing.
Raised in the sometimes rough area of South Western Sydney he realized early on he needed to develop street smarts. Starting out in the Arts was the obvious choice but only left him confused.
Moving to millinery after reading an article about a man who wore a possum on his head and believed it was a hat. Fashion design was a natural progression.
While studying at the Fashion Design Studio in Sydney and picking up a few awards along the way it was here that he found the love for leather.
Leather would be a staple material for this designer. Working in such positions as fashion designer, costume designer, print designer or footwear designer for various underground labels such as Whispered Scream, Chainsaw Chuckles, 4th Rebellion, Brux and Capitale.
It wasn't until one night in late 2007 upon waking from a dream about Miyamoto Musashi and General Custer sword-dueling over a prized Gucci bag, that he realized his calling. So after about a year of sourcing and brainstorming Empire33 was born.
Dark and moody is at the heart of this label. With lashings of elegance, avant-garde and attention to detail it will create surprise and excitement.
