I will eternally regret not buying a Lanvin dress on sale from Harvey Nichols a few years ago. It was only £500, a plain dark grey wool shift with a ruffled fin down the back. Maison Martin Margiela
Maison Martin Margiela certainly does not make everyday clothing, or even wearable clothing for that matter, so when I look at the show, I judge it on its concept. After all, that is what Margiela is about, conceptual fashion. I liked the flattened clothing in this collection, but I didn't like the giant trouser waistbands (I've only showed one, but there were loads of them.)...read more |
