Mixed Prints
Spring - Summer collections always feature an array of prints, but this season designers are mixing their print designs into one outfit. Not patchwork, but there are certainly some unusual combinations. |
Textured Metallics and Shine
Like the other cities, Paris' catwalks had a great deal of metallic and iridescent fabrics, most noticeably the textured metallics and shiny textiles at Chanel, Balenciaga and Balmain. |

Rounded or Pointy Shoulders
The tailoring on the Paris catwalks was about extremes; structured, geometric jackets were complimented with soft, rounded shoulders, or pointy sleeve heads and shoulder angles. |

Bow Belts
With the emphasis on the waist continuing to be a key part of the fashion silhouette, many designers embellished their pieces with bow detailing on the waist or belt, emphasizing the femininity of this silhouette. |
60s Shifts
As a contrast to the defined waist, many designers opted for a 60s shift silhouette, Yves Saint Laurent's had texture, Lanvin's was about shape, and Balenciaga's had geometric cut out detailing. |
