Key looks for the upcoming couture season... |
Draped Ruffles
Armani Prive and Anne Valerie Hash have used lightly draped ruffles throughout their collections, creating simple effects of volume and movement. |
Puffy Volume
Voluminous puffy silhouettes were seen at Chanel and Christian Lacroix, on sleeves, skirts, and as bodices.

Big Bows
Big bows were in abundance in this season's Haute Couture shows, seen at Armani Prive, Christian Dior, Christina Lacroix, and Elie Saab. |

Grays
Grey is a key color, seen in many different tones in both evening wear at Valentino and Elie Saab and day wear at Armani Prive, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Chanel. |

Victorian Lace
Victorian lace detailing was a key evening wear trend at the couture shows, predominantly in black, at Chanel, Christian Lacroix, and Givenchy. |
Religious Dress
Christianity-inspired dress was a key trend in Christian Lacroix's show, used excessively in accessories and dress, while Alexis Mabille used simpler religious themes and Chanel showed halo-like headwear. |

Fuchsia Pink and Mustard Green
While the collections were predominantly grey and black this season, there were some interesting accent colors. Mustard green was seen at Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, and Valentino, and fuchsia pink made a bold statement at the Givenchy and Jean Paul Gaultier shows. |
