London Spring/Summer 2010 Collections Trend Round Up

Bright Contrasts

Designers mixed bright, contrasting colours for the Spring Summer catwalks. Paul Smith mixed red and pink with a pale blue, while Josh Goot mixed coloured geometric shapes on his mini dresses.

Pleating Fancy

Unusual shapes or placing of pleating created volume and interest on dresses at Erdem, Marios Schwab, and Louise Goldin.

Draped Craze

Desigenrs decorated their evening dresses with innovative drapes. Marios Schwab created puffed draped dresses, while Burberry Prorsum dresses featured a Grecian theme and Richard Nicoll played with a single, dramatic shoulder drape on a pewter cocktail dress.

Soft Warrior

The Spring Summer catwalks featured a strong woman who is soft around the edges. Think power dressing with a soft touch. Todd Lynn featured warrior-like fur boleros in soft greys and Hannah Marshall designed power shouldered dresses in warm tones.

Shoulders

Modern Hippie
