Cory Kennedy is the new face of Urban Decay, starring in their Spring Summer ad campaign.
Personally, I have a love-hate relationship with her. I think she is annoying as hell but you have to give her credit for her uncanny ability to become famous based on a badly written blog and access to a few parties.
Yes, she has style and is cute, but so are a lot of other girls in LA. Urban Decay has made a pretty good choice, as I would imagine their target market will be Cory Kennedy fans. The 24/7 Glide-On Pencil and the Loose Pigment come in very trendy shades for Spring Summer, lots of colorful metallics with great names like Covet, Asphyxia, Shattered, and Graffiti.

Wonderbra's announcement of their upcoming collaboration with Dita Von Teese sounds exciting.
Although Wonderbra is a pretty dated brand, maybe this is an opportunity to inject some excitement buy teaming up with one of the sexiest women in the world.
How many people can be photographed without knickers on, date a goth, and still maintain dignity? Only Dita.
I am looking forward to seeing if she can inject some excitement into a rather boring brand, which is known for making one bra that isn't particularly fashionable at the moment.

Net-A-Porter was a pioneer in the fashion world this week with their offering of Halston catwalk looks, the day after they were presented at New York Fashion Week. With their same day delivery in New York and London, this meant that you could be sporting the Halston catwalk pieces at a party the day after the show.
This is the first time I can remember where a brand has sold the product straight off the catwalk. Obviously not everyone can do this all the time, however, it makes for a great promotional stunt for a brand that needs to generate some serious attention and disguise the fact that the catwalk show was not very exciting at all.More on the shows in a few weeks, but in the meantime, have a look at the Halston documentary on.net-a-porter.com narrated by Colin McDowell.
Note: Today we noticed that the collection has sold out!

Most of the fashion excitement for couture this season was focused around Valentino's last show. A bit disappointing, considering what he has been capable of in the past, however I am sensing that this is a bit of a "screw you" to the owners of the brand, with whom he has not had a great relationship for some time. I guess he really does not have anything to prove, he has made his mark and it won't be forgotten.
Most say his party in Rome was the main farewell, which had a much more intimate atmosphere. Anyway, Valentino was not the only one to disappoint, although I wouldn't say that there were couture shows that were "bad", there was certainly nothing that stood out. Chanel didn't look couture, Dior was great but no new ideas (it was very similar to last Spring Summer) and Versace was nice but boring. I am looking forward to the Ready to Wear shows.
