Although I tend to complain about brands that do the same thing season after season, I do respect when a brand has a signature style and it is not always a bad thing when you generally know what to expect from them. Missoni is one of those brands, whose specialty is knitwear, particularly multi-coloured patterned jacquard knits. This Dolce & Gabbana collection was all about the classic pieces in which their brand is known for: leopard print dresses, sexy tailoring, and corsetry influences. I think it is a strong collection, and looks great on the catwalk, but I am a bit confused about the no-pants looks.
Although the tailored jackets look fantastic, and there is no doubt this is a striking way to end a fashion show, I am not sure I really understand why they are all wearing panties and jackets...read more |

I love Marni: the uncomfortable color combinations, the unusual mix of textures, the strange modern silhouettes, and the odd, chunky jewelry. It is beautiful ugly at its best. They also do incredible shoes, and have one of the most fantastic visual merchandising concepts for their concessions and stores...read more |
