Justin Timberlake's William Rast Line Can't Help But Succeed So Where's Madonna-wear?

What do Jay Zee, Beyonce, P.Diddy and Justin Timberlake all have in common? Besides hugely successful singing careers, all have branched into clothing companies. Jay-Zowns and runs the coveted Rocca Wear line, Beyonce recently launched her line under the House of Dereon label named after her grandmother.

P.Diddy the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy has a successful menswear line under his real name, Sean John. Now Justin Timberlake with his best friend, Trace Ayala, have launched a clothing label, William Rast named after their respective grandfathers. And, I have no doubt that the line is going to be hugely successful.

Master of Reinvention

Fashion is about constant innovation and reinvention. Justin Timberlake has demonstrated his expertise in the area. From a Disney Mouseketeer to Backstreet Boy to "NippleGate," he has gone on to forge a major solo career.

Great Tastemaker

Justin Timberlake is lauded for his style and fashion sense. People magazine recently named him to their Best Dressed list saying that "he has a great body and looks good in everything."

Iconic Girlfriend

Cameron Diaz is recognized as a trend-setter in addition to being a superstar in her own right.

Insta-PR

America's obsession with celebrities causes the media to track and record their every move. Justin Timberlake is brilliant and leveraging this trend for his own benefit, which is to promote his clothing line.


Finances

The line is financed by Justin Timberlake off his tremendous earnings as a recording artist and performer. This gives him a huge advantage in a business where cash is king.

Now I'm just waiting for Madonna to launch her line.
