Graduated in sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Roma, Sandra Di Giacinto, has always been fascinated by recycled material, by its countless working solutions, the different ways in which it can be treated and assembled into innumerable shapes.

The designer is strongly attracted by Japanese art. However, the pleating technique that she uses draws inspiration from ancient Greece. Her collections are therefore minimal, light, durable and brightly coloured.

Sandra Di Giacinto’s work is characterized by the constant research of new types of materials. All the jewels and bags are hand-made in limited edition, with an innovative use of materials.

The latest collection for 2007 was exposed last January at Maison et Objet International exhibition in Paris. The collection drew a lot of attention and has been selected by trendy boutiques all over the world and also by prestigious museum shops such as the SFMoma , the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao and the Venice Biennale.

It's the new plissé bag collection 2007 of Sandra di Giacinto, 100% made in Italy, in "eco leather" with recycled newspapers. Each bag is different, sold in limited edition in selected boutiques, with an artistic composition, unique and entirely handmade but at the same time affordable.

Sandra di Giacinto's Plissé Bag collection for Spring 2007 is sold through a range of € 135 to € 200.
