Designer Carl Kapp who is a favorite of Cate Blanchett's, has created another exciting collection for A/W 2008. Famed for his mannish tailoring and attention to detail he has been touted as one of Australia’s rising stars. His new collection features twisted silk draped dresses as well as stylish knits and tailored separates.

Carl Kapp freelanced for design houses Kenzo and DKNY before launching his own label from his Sydney Studio. Former Australian Vogue Editor Marion Hume has recommended him highly in one of her editor's letters and he is featured in Australian Vogue for February 2008.

Carl Kapp brings many years of experience and talent to the label, having impressed such high profile people/brands as Hedi Slimane from Dior Homme, Christopher Bailey from Burberry, Neil Barrett, Giorgio Armani, Alessandro Dell'Acqua and Maison Martin Margiela.

His resume also includes freelance projects for Designroom in Milan, Donna Karan International in New York and Kenzo by Antonio Marras in Paris. He was also short listed by respected head-hunter Floriane de Saint Pierre in Paris as their primary candidate for a position as Head Designer / Menswear at Alexander McQueen in London.

His decision to start his own label was based on the desire to use all his experience and knowledge to create clothes that are cool, original and wearable. He is a perfectionist, constantly striving for a higher standard of finishing and construction. He identifies a gap in the Australian market for superbly tailored clothes that are not too stitched up or heavy, but light and easy to wear.
