MilanoVendeModa | September 25 to 28, 2008

Quality prêt-à-porter returns with MilanoVendeModa. The exhibition, which will be held at Fieramilanocity from September 25 to 28, 2008, will bring together demand and supply, allowing buyers to see the vast offer of prêt-à-porter fashions and accessories.

MilanoVendeModa is much more than just a trade fair. It is a new format that highlights and explores the most original products. It also gives buyers and manufacturers a chance to meet, exchange information, and do business.

The expo layout, which buyers much appreciate, returns to MilanoVendeModa to present the many faces of prêt-à-porter fashion, with over 250 collections divided into various sections. LT is where innovative materials are combined with amazing design. Trend is where new styles make their debut and set the tone for the season. Luxury is where classic style is given a modern feel through quality design and fine fabrics. Accessories is the place for all those "extras" that add an indispensable touch of elegance and personality to an outfit and the woman wearing it.

MilanoVendeModa is also an original expo-event. The Street returns after its huge success last season. This section, devoted to young new designers, has been expanded to reflect the entire exhibition, and the itinerary will end in the area called Container. In this new space, created with the help of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, an association that represents fashion schools in Milan and promotes fashion, the young student designers from these schools will present their works and will have a chance to meet companies that can transform their projects into real products.

MilanoVendeModa is known for its innovative ideas and its focus on new trends. A trend that has been confirmed is PluSize 46...52, which began as a specific show and has since become a brand within a brand: a label that will identify all those manufacturers who have accepted the challenge of creating stylish, comfortable fashions for today's "real women" with fuller figures.

The ability to communicate through various channels has become increasingly important in the fashion world. MilanoVendeModa, which recognizes the needs of companies that make quality products, is focusing on communication through projects that will let even greater audiences get a first-hand look at the moods and ideas of MilanoVendeModa. With its newsletter sent to approximately 10,000 contacts, which include potential exhibitors and professionals in the fashion industry, and its Internet website, which is always updated and contains videos of fashion shows held at the event, MilanoVendeModa aims to become the latest and greatest version of prêt-a-porter.

What's more, this edition of MilanoVendeModa will present a surprise event: the photo exhibit of Elsa Haertter "Traveling with Fashion". The exhibit explores the historical and timeless aspects of style through the photographs of a German artist who was able to teach Italians in the Fifties the meaning of elegance and allure through images that also tell a story and express moods, ideas, reality, and fantasy.

The exhibit, organized by Armando Honegger in cooperation with MODAcontents | TREMELLONI - Polytechnic Institute of Milan, INDACO Department and on display at the Triennial until October 14, is endorsed by the National Council of Italian Fashion. MilanoVendeModa is also among the sponsors because it wants to underline the cultural role of fashion and to bring the seemingly remote and "closed" world of the fashion industry closer to the city.

MilanoVendeModa is also an important opportunity to do business on an international level. The number of foreign buyers continues to grow, and more and more consider it a point of reference and the place to find and import true Italian fashion to their countries.

Due to the growing international demand, MilanoVendeModa has joined the Comitato Lombardia per la Moda/Lombardy Fashion Council project, which represents all the major exhibitions that promote Italian fashion, style, and products in the Lombardy Region.

Once again, MilanoVendeModa reinvents prêt-à-porter style and turns it into a new chapter that many will not want to miss.
