January 20 , 2010 - Many celebrities on the Golden Globe red carpets appeared to have been inspired by old school glamour.

Maybe thanks to Tom Ford? As we saw a lot of beautiful full length, bias or curve-hugging, long-sleeved gowns with mild 30's inspiration.

There as very little sluttiness and skin on show, lots of long sleeves and high necklines. This whole look was very refreshing, whereas the strapless ball gowns looked totally dated. (Speaking of Tom Ford, why was no one wearing one of his dresses on the red carpet? Or did I just miss it? Only Colin Firth?)...read more
