January 28, 2011 - The designers who recently showed their collections for Autumn/Winter 2011/12 in Milan and Paris had a collective vision for the future, and that vision was bright.



On most runway shows, one could not avoid the predominant display of outstanding shades of burnt yellow, ochre and orange that contributed to the enlivening of garments.

Either on their own, or contrasting with other bright colors or with black, shades of orange and yellow are expected to brighten menswear wardrobes in the foreseeable future.

There is hardly any doubt that the choice of these colors is not devoid of careless thinking: with its close associations with the first imperial family in China and with the current rulers in Malaysia, yellow is undoubtedly appealing to the vast Asian market in a similar way that orange is respected in a large market like India as a prominent color of Hinduism...read the full article
