Georg Jensen | Autumn-Winter 2006/2007 Jewelry Collection

The Autumn-Winter 2006/2007 jewelry collection reveals new designs in 18 carat gold with colored semi-precious stones and diamonds. A recent collection is also reinterpreted in sterling silver giving it an alluring expression. The men's collection sees the reintroduction of some retro-classic cufflinks from some of the company's most prominent designers of the last 50 years.

Created by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, the SAVANNAH collection was conceived while Vivianna had her studio in the lush tropical island nation of Indonesia. The lushness of the grasslands and rainforests coupled with the purity of light and color acted as an inspiration for many of her collections from this time.

The collection captures these natural elements through the brilliant warmth of the 18 carat gold and the fluid craftsmanship of the form. To add intrigue and depth to the design, a buff-cut stone in either citrine or smokey quartz has been added. The cut of the stone creates a kaleidoscope-effect when light transcends the jewelry. The SAVANNAH collection consists of drop earrings, ring and long necklace with a delicate pendant.

The LINA collection has been crafted in 18 carat gold with diamonds set into the pebble-like form. The use of diamonds coupled with the warmth of 18 carat gold adds an expression of exclusivity and glamour, making the pieces appropriate for daytime and evening wear.

The necklace, the feature piece of the LINA collection, wraps elegantly around the neck, interconnecting and dropping down the chest in an elegant, free manner. As the diamonds are visible on both sides of the design the movement of the necklace is underlining the exclusiveness and luxury.

The LINA collection consists of a long necklace, bracelet, earrings and pendant.

Designer Regitze Overgaard explains the inspiration behind the ZEPHYR collection; "I was in quiet contemplation watching the water lap against the bow of the boat.

As the boat glided, the water rippled into this magical, oval form around my boat."

The sterling silver captures the reflection of the moonlight on the lake and the oval form has been crafted to capture the zephyr's movement of a small sail boat across water. ZEPHYR has been crafted in sterling silver and is available as a pendant, necklace, earrings and ring.
